[PAULE24]
Hello,
I'm German citizen living in Southwest Germany and after coming across this site there's one thing I'm interested in and I'd like to ask you : How is the situation of U.S. pantyhose wearing men in comparison with Europe (Germany in particular). Is there anyone who has made experiences in these two parts of the western world and can tell about them ? From over here one might get the impression that the U.S. are more conservative as to alternative clothing, on the other hand there seems much more to be going on (the first "ph for men"-sites were American after all !) But probably we still have the same problems...
Regards

2434.2 in reply to 2434.1 In the US, we seem to be a little more conservative in regards to alternative clothing except in San Francisco and New York. For me, I don't care who sees me wearing hose. If it upsets them, let them deal with it. 'I answer only to God, and you ain't Him.'

I live in rural North GA, but work in Atlanta. I have NEVER seen another man in pantyhose, but I see lots of men with shaved legs. In Atlanta, there is a large (and outgoing) gay population, and a large segment of male "metrosexuals" who dress stylishly, use spa treatments (including facials), use cosmetics, etc., so I wouldn't think twice about wearing pantyhose openly (just as in NY or LA). Many people at my work know I wear hose, and I don't wear socks, so my ankles are exposed to anyone who notices, but no one ever says anything. Where I live, it's a different scene - pickup trucks and good ole boys prevail - but I have worn shorts and hose while out running errands, and no one has said anything. At the nearby outlet mall where I shop for pantyhose, panties (and other clothing), the clerks are friendly and helpful and never question the fact that I am buying hose and panties for myself. In fact, several have told me they have lots of male customers. I think most people in the US are pretty tolerant (or at least figure it's none of their business) - it's only a vocal few intolerant types who cause a problem for those of us who want to experience "fashion freedom."

I live in New York and I wear pantyhose with shorts out all the time in the warmer months. Most of the time I wear shiny tan. They are definetly noticeable. I get looks quite often and frequent compliments. Quite often I go shopping for and purchase more pantyhose dressed this way. If I get asked if they are for me I just answer "yes". As far as acceptability is concerned, I never had a problem.

>> 'I answer only to God, and you ain't Him.' I like your quote and your attitude! That's exactly the way to be! :)

Silky,What kind of hose do you buy that are shiny tan? Are they heavier denier or sheer? Thanks
[SilkyLegs (PANTYHOSED)]
I constantly look for sheer to waist pantythose. When I find some I tend to buy a lot of pairs. In the past couple of years, the pantyhose I bought a lot of are 40 denier. I bought Silkies Sheer Charm, Hanes Silk Reflections, Hue, Worthington, No Nonense Renew and most recently Shiny Sheer To Waist from Walgreens. Some of the packaging states 40 denier and other packages don't have a denier rating but they all seem to have about the same sheerness. They are fairly durable and have good coverage. I find 10-15 denier look practically invisible and don't last more than a wearing or two.
