Believe it or not, I started to shave my legs and wear PH this last February 2003. I'm currently 37

I have been wearing nylons ever since I could remember. I don't know how old I was exactly but I do believe I started as a pre-schooler. I used to take my mother's and wear then in my room. One day she found me out but was cool about it. She gave me pantyhose to wear and even let me wear them around the house and to bed at night. I first wore in public with shorts when I was 17. It was at the urging of an ex girlfriend. I was real nervous at first but no one seemed to notice so I relaxed and enjoyed it. I've been wearing with shorts all the time in the warmer weather ever since. I've been noticed several times but it has always been a positive experience.

The first time I tried them on was probably around 5, but as far back as I can remember I was intrigued by hosiery. I have been told that I would tub/touch ladies legs with hosiery ever chance I got. I would try them on randomly until high school. Then I was to worried about being caught to experiment with my passion. I started wearing them regularly after I got out of the military when I was 24. That was in 1989. I started wearing openly in publics in 1994. My wife actually encouraged me to be open. She did not like the fact that I had to change into pants ever time we went out. That's it in a nut shell.

True. However, I knew the girl that threw them away. Cause I saw her with a run in her hose go to the bathroom and come out without hose.

Forgive me for the following ramble but I think wearing pantyhose or tights is something that evolved for me. Yes there was an initial ?start? but I think you will find the journey more interesting. I was about 8 or 9 back in 1961. (Ok no comments.) My mom bought me a pair of tights for my dance recital. Yep, mom thought I should take dance. It didn't stick... two left feet. Anyway, even after dance was over I still had the tights. I loved to wear them to bead and I would wait until everyone went to sleep and get up, put them on and go back to bed. In the morning I'd take them off and get dressed. Guess what one morning mom came in and my leg was sticking out from the covers and busted! She asked why I was wearing them. My response was simple and truthful. "I liked sleeping in them." I asked if they made them in larger sizes because these were getting small. Mom bought me a new larger pair. As the years progressed I would wear them under pants to keep warm and mom would buy me a new pair every now and them. At about 16 (1969) pantyhose became available and popular. Now that I could drive I could shop alone and bought my first pair of pantyhose. Man I loved them! That's when the mental struggle started. Tights were, as far as I was concerned, a unisex garment. That?s what mom told me to get me to wear them to start with. Pantyhose were women?s only item. So, I guess to avoid the struggle, I stayed with the tights for many years. I think it was about 1971 or 1972 there was a men?s clothing store, Hughes and Hatches here in Michigan, had a pantyhose for men called ?Maneyhose?. (Not to be confused with the gag ones Man-t-hose). These were quite nice 100% nylon; Lycra was not available then. The panty part was a heavier weight like the Lex Wear and the sock part was heavier too. (It looked like a heavier nylon sock knitted to black sheer pantyhose but definitely weaved, not sewn on.) Unfortunately they didn?t sell for this clothier of fine dress cloths. They did renew my interest in pantyhose. It also helped the internal struggle with pantyhose being only a woman?s item. After all these were ?pantyhose for men?. In 1974 I got married and went through a couple of years where I lost interest. I guess it was 1976 I was stuck out on a construction site, just for one day, and got cold. Dress slacks just didn?t cut it. I went to Sears at lunch that day and bought myself a pair of black tights. That night when I got home, while having dinner, I explained to my wife what I had done and why. She didn?t object but didn?t embrace what had done either. She asked why I had bought them instead of long johns and I replied because they were not bulky and quite comfortable. I also explained the dance tights mom had bought and I had worn for years. I also stated that if Joe Namath could wear pantyhose, for the same reason, I didn?t have a problem with wearing tights. After wearing them for a couple of days she said if you?re going to wear them a lot that I should get another pair to make laundry easier. Additionally, she said to stay with the black ones since they were ?more masculine?. (Sound familiar from a different thread here!) Didn?t have to tell me twice. Over the next several years I experimented with heavier black nylons and transition into lighter colors. As they say the rest is history??. But that?s for another story. My story is similar to yours. I started when I was 9 by "borrowing" my mother's hose. I then switched to "borrowing" my sister's since my mom was very heavey and wore "plus" sizes. My sister & I are twins and slept in the same room in different beds. I think she knew that I wore her hose to bed at night, but she never said anything. I did this until we both went away to college after high school.

I really don't know anything more. I wasn't into reading the details and package information at that time so I don't know the parent company. I bought them twice about 4 monts apart. When I went back again at about the 7 month mark they were out. I suspect they got one shipment and it fizzeled so bad that that was it. Funny thing they did sell them all since they were out when I went for more. I suspect they did sell fine but compaired to the moster quantities of pantyhose being sold at that time the numbers paled and looked like a failure.

Thank You Ned and Blake All we know sofar is They were around for a short time,not long enough to make improvment. proably not all that great, sold in retail stores. Blake Said the invintory was sold out. So its is posibly the company itself fizzled not neccarly the product.
